Saginaw Bay Educational Fishing Trip Details and Roster

What to Bring   Best advice is to overdress-we have room in the boat to store clothes we are not using.  Every angler over 17 years old will need a current Michigan fishing license.  Please have them before you arrive.  Be sure to bring a camera and any food and drink you will want during the day.  Also, be sure to bring any medication for any illnesses or allergies, as well as seasick medication if you may need it.  ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR NON PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ARE ALLOWED ON BOAT.  There is room in the boat for a small cooler for lunch, and the boat cooler always has room for drinks.  Please be sure that all drinks are in plastic bottles with twist on caps to prevent spilling.   All fishing equipment, lures, tackle and bait are provided by Lance, but feel free to bring yours along if you wish.

Directions to boat:   Saginaw Bay trips launch from 2 different locations-the Quanicassee River Mouth or Linwood Beach Marina.

Linwood Beach Marina:  From I-75 exit at Exit #173 (Linwood Rd).  Head East on Linwood Road until the road dead ends at the Bay.  Just before the water there will be a road to the right with a sign for Linwood Beach Marina.  Turn right (South).  Continue South into the marina.  I will be parked on the right side of the road in front of the dry-docked boats.

Quanicassee River Mouth:  Head North on I-75 and exit onto M-46.  Head East on M-46.  Take M-46 east to Bradleyville Rd.  Turn left (north) onto Bradleyville Rd.  Take Bradleyville Rd to M-25.  Turn left (West) onto M-25.  Take M-25 through the town of Quanicassee and cross the River.  Just after the river is a brown boat  ramp access sign.  Just past the sign is a road to the right (North).  Turn onto the road and continue to the boat ramp.

Lance is driving a white Ford F-150 Crew Cab truck with an all white topper, pulling a Polar Kraft boat.  Call or e-mail if you will be coming from the north or east.

Time of Trip:  Morning Trips will launch at 8:00 am and will be back at the dock by 2:30 pm.   If you are going to be late, please phone me at 810-240-2317 and let me know.

Fish Cleaning:  is available after trips from Linwood Beach but not from the Quanicassee River.  Feel free to bring your knives to help, but it is not required.  Please bring some gallon sized Ziploc baggies for the fillets and a cooler with ice to transport the fish home in.

Lodging:  If you are planning on staying there are a few hotels in both areas.  Call or e-mail if you need details.
