Fishing season kicks off every year on the Detroit River vertical jigging for walleye that jam the river for one of the most successful spawning runs in the country.  Big river-Big walleye.  The last few seasons have seen lots of 2-5lb fish caught, but as always on the Detroit River, every bite can be the fish of a lifetime.  Learn jigging techniques, boat control, jig and body choices and some of Lance's best fishing spots!    If you would like to book a day with Lance, pick an open date and fill out a Detroit River Charter Sign Up Sheet.  The end of the month takes us to Lake Erie for the years first Walleye Education Weekend to target post spawn walleye in the open waters of Port Clinton and Huron, Ohio.  Open water trolling with spinners and cranks produces good fish with the chance of a true trophy.   For more information about the Lake Erie Walleye Education Weekend, be sure to visit the "Walleye Education Weekend Homepage"

Open water fishing heats up on Saginaw Bay and Lake Erie and inland lake fishing is at it's peak for the season!  The first weekend finds us on Houghton Lake for a "Walleye in the Weeds" Walleye Education Weekend.  If you have ever wanted to learn how to fish inland lakes, especially those with a population of weed walleye, this is the trip for you.  The middle of the month takes us to Saginaw Bay for one of each seasons most productive Walleye Education Weekends-"Spoon Fed Walleye".  One of our most popular trips last season, "Spoon Fed Walleye" will cover everything you need to know to catch walleye in open water with these hugely effective lures.  The fishing on Saginaw Bay the past few seasons has been, in a word, spectacular!!!  June sees fish move to the closest structure and cover to shore, and lots of fish are in easy reach of even small boat anglers.   Some fish start their move to deeper water, and using your electronics to find pods of fish is key to success.  If you are interested in a Saginaw Bay Charter, fill out a Saginaw Bay Sign Up Sheet  For more information about the Houghton Lake or Saginaw Bay Walleye Education Weekend, be sure to visit the "Walleye Education Weekend Homepage"
